Don't get me wrong, there's a lot to be gained. AI could send us hundreds or thousands of years into the future with advances, but we can't so quickly give it the benefit of the doubt and ignore what's at stake.

Will we wait until this happens globally to acknowledge our path towards complete and total surveillance and subjugation? It would be too late at that point though right? Thanks to good old Edward Snowden's "treasonous" actions, we are all aware of the government's surveillance of every single person, foreign and domestic, by any means possible through our electronic devices, internet activity, and God knows what else. We are also aware of all the companies we continue to support who collect information for reasons beyond what we have a right to know as their customers. We argue over the latest social activism trends, as we continue to divide ourselves and grow in hate. Many are beginning to demand that our government and communication platforms take control of the conversation as a means of silencing "problematic and dangerous" voices. We see our people starving, and continue supporting the business magnates who outsource work to Chinese SLAVES in order to give us the lowest prices at the highest convenience. We complain how rich they have become through these immoral business practices, yet we continue supporting these companies and the tyranny of China as opposed to smaller businesses who bring jobs, wealth, success, and happiness to our people and their communities. (Yes me too, I am guilty of this) Many ask the government to take control of the distribution of wealth to quickly solve that problem without effort, and with no need to change how we live... right? How much of our freedom must we hand over instead of taking matters into our own hands? How long until we remember that we the people are the only ones looking out for our best interests. How long will we turn a blind eye to those already subjugated for our own comfort, and continue fighting for the people who mean to subjugate us? Please take a look at the current state of China. Do not fool yourself in thinking this cannot happen to us. The Chinese government is simply ahead of the game as far as those leading us in that direction are concerned. I should mention I don't mean to create fear. I simply mean to remind people that trusting in the humanity and morality of those who would accept the freedoms you'd hand over to them, would without a doubt be the biggest mistake you could ever make.
